Summertime and the livin’ is easy. Oh and hot. Don’t forget super hot. However, if you’re lucky enough to enjoy the warm waters and shores of Maui this summer, there’s plenty to look forward to beyond the sun, sand and rum. Enjoy 7 courses of unique, farm-fresh cuisine and craft cocktails, all prepared in a gorgeous island setting. Please check their calendar for dates and tickets. $150 per person, including tax and gratuity. Every Third Tuesday (July 18th): Brushstrokes & Brews – On the third Tuesday of each month, Island Art Party brings its fun painting classes to The Maui Brewing Co. in Kihei. Come create a beautiful painting, and enjoy happy hour pricing in the tasting room all night! Only $59 (kama’aina discount available with ID) and it sells out quick, so book early. Ages 16+ only. July 1st Makawao 4th of July Paniolo Parade & Rodeo: Located Upcountry at the Oskie Rice Arena, you won’t want to miss the annual 9am Maui parade and rodeo, including family-friendly fun, food, entertainment and more. Family Class at Island Art Party: From 2pm to 4:30pm, reserve a spot in Kihei’s family-friendly painting class. Painting ‘Dolphins,’ this class is open for ages 8 and up. Lana’i Annual Pineapple Festival: Located on Maui’s neighbor island of Lana’i at Dole Park, the annual Pineapple Festival will be held from 3pm to 6pm and includes family-friendly fun and entertainment, followed by fireworks at 9pm. Everclear at the Castle Theater: Performing at the MACC, Everclear are embarking on a highly anticipated tour celebrating its milestone anniversary, with plans to perform the Afterglow album front to back, including some tracks the band has never played live. July 2nd Maui Taiko’s 20th Anniversary Concert: Formed by the descendants of Japanese immigrants in the hopes of perpetuating a centuries-old drumming tradition, the group has now blossomed into a performance troupe that entertains thousands of residents and visitors on Maui annually.
